About the workshop

This course focuses on a fundamental element for torment in semenawa: the floor. We will explore how to integrate this element, making a ground tie a foundation for building an entire session. We will analyze specific technical components but will primarily concentrate on floorplay.

We will build the initial ties and see how to apply the principles learned in the basic course and integrate them with new principles that will make your bondage more effective. We will learn how to construct a suspension line and how to use it. We will perform exercises to learn to manage a body on the ground: how to move it efficiently and force it into challenging positions in the spirit of semenawa. We will introduce the concept of predicament and understand how to exploit it at different levels of complexity. The course is hands-on: the majority of the time will be spent practicing directly what is shown.

Who is it for & prerequisites

This course is designed for those who have already started studying bondage. The basic requirement is to have attended the Kinbaku Essentia course (our "0" module) or a basic course with another certified Kinbaku LuXuria instructor.

The organization reserves the right to admit participants who have not taken the basic course but can demonstrate a good level in the required prerequisites (double column tie, single column tie). If you have not taken the Essentia class but have acquired solid basic skills in other workshops, you may still apply. Please include a description of your experience, a few pictures of your rope work, and list any other workshops you have taken in your registration, so that we can determine if you meet the prerequisites.

Good manners, passion, and a desire to learn are required for this workshop. For those who have already attended our Class #1 in the past, this course effectively opens new horizons within a session, allowing the integration of many of the principles already learned with the new elements that will be taught.

Structure

The course takes place over two days, on Saturday and Sunday, with approximately 5-6 hours of instruction each day. There will be short breaks as needed. Changing facilities are available on-site, and it is advisable to arrive at least 15 minutes early.

I want to participate. What do I need to know?

Ropes: You will need at least 8 ropes made of NATURAL FIBER, such as jute or hemp, with a length of 7-8 meters and a diameter of 5 or 6mm. For those who don't have suitable ropes, it is possible to purchase them from the organisers (please contact Knot Here ahead of time). The use of synthetic ropes of any kind, or natural materials that are not sturdy (such as cotton or linen), is not allowed.

Attire: Comfortable/sporty attire is recommended. Especially for those being tied, loose or bulky clothing is discouraged.

Photo/Video: Taking photos during exercise demos is allowed, but recording videos or audio is not permitted. Taking photos of your partner during exercises is allowed, respecting the privacy of other participants.

Switching: Partners cannot alternate/switch during the workshop's duration.

Style

The workshop is inspired by the Kinbaku LuXuria style of Riccardo Sergnese (Wildties), the ichi-ban deshii of Naka Akira. This style directly descends from Naka-Ryu (Akira Naka's style) and is a careful reengineering, preserving the original and traditional spirit while introducing technical innovations suitable for European culture and physique, with a strong emphasis on safety.

Registration

This workshop is open to all couples who meet the prerequisites. Please ensure that you have carefully read all of the workshop information above before completing the registration form. Once your application is approved, you will receive an email from us with payment information.

Practical information about the workshop will be sent by email closer to date, so please keep an eye on your inbox & spam folder. We recommend adding our email hello@knothere.nl to your email contacts!
