The Knot Here Rope Jam is going public!

From November, all of our rope jams will be open to everyone! 😄 You can buy a ticket here and will no longer need any referrals to attend the jam. More info on why below.

When we started hosting Knot Here Rope Jam earlier this year, we had never organised a rope jam before. While we were super excited, we were also a bit nervous. What if people didn't like it, or we experienced logistical issues? To calm our nerves and allow ourselves some room to learn, we decided to start small. For the first edition, we invited a group of our friends, acquaintances, and fellow organisers. Soon afterwards, we implemented a referral system so that our jam was able to slowly grow. Word quickly spread, and over 100 people received an invitation for the jams after being referred by their friends!

Once we got used to hosting the monthly jams and ironed out the biggest kinks, we started hosting the occasional public event, such as our Kinbaku Nights with Kurogami & Shiawase and Asiana & Door, as well as a Mix & Match. These were super popular, and we got more and more requests to open the monthly jam to everyone. As our volunteer team has grown and all of us have become super efficient at all of the behind the scenes stuff (you guys rock!), we now feel ready to do just that.

So from November onwards, the Knot Here Rope Jam will be open to everyone! That means that we will be abolishing our referral system. If you'd like to come to one of our jams, you can now directly buy a ticket here! This link will be added to our event descriptions as well. To support this transition, we are also updating our rules to be a bit more exhaustive & specific. You can find them here.

If you'd like to stay up to date with all our events, you can always follow us or add us as a friend here on FL, or sign up to our newsletter here! We send out an email +- once a month about our upcoming events. Besides our rope jams, we also have some exciting workshops planned for the new year 😊

A big thank you to all of our volunteers and of course all of the lovely people who have been visiting our jams. We couldn't do this without you 💙
